The State Agro-Food Program of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2003-2005, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 5, 2002, No. 889 (paragraph 4.1 of section 4), by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2002, No. 1156 "On certain issues of the construction of a grain terminal in the port of Aktau," as well as the Development Plan of NC "Food Contract Corporation" JSC for 2003-2005, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 15, 2002, No. 777, provided for the construction of a new grain terminal in the port of Aktau.
By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2002, No. 1156, it was decided to allocate a land plot of at least 2 hectares to NC "Food Contract Corporation" JSC within the territory of JSC "NC "Aktau International Sea Commercial Port."
On November 21, 2002, the Board of Directors of NC "Food Contract Corporation" JSC decided to create a subsidiary LLP "Asyl-Biday" to manage the grain terminal and perform other functions related to the transshipment of grain in the sea port of Aktau.
In 2003, the grain terminal itself was acquired from LLP "Asyl-Biday" and LLP "Grain Pool of Kazakhstan NS."
Subsequently, as a result of the reorganization of JSC "Ak Biday" into JSC "Ak Biday - Terminal" in August 2003, all activities previously assigned to LLP "Asyl-Biday" were transferred to JSC "Ak Biday - Terminal."
In July 2005, a 100% stake in the company was transferred to NC "Food Contract Corporation" JSC.
The purpose of creating the grain terminal in the port of Aktau is to stabilize and expand the export of Kazakh grain. The main task is to create the infrastructure for the export of Kazakh grain on the Caspian Sea.
