Joint Stock Company "Ak Bidaу-Terminal" was established by the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the aim of creating infrastructure to stabilize and expand the export of Kazakh grain through the Caspian Sea. The company was registered in March 2005 and is a subsidiary of NC "Food Contract Corporation" JSC .
The main activity of JSC "Ak Bidaу-Terminal" is the transshipment of grain from railway transport to sea vessels in the port of Aktau. The terminal is equipped with 11 silos for temporary storage of grain with a total capacity of 22.5 thousand tons. The terminal's grain transshipment capacity is about 600 thousand tons per year. Daily, the terminal can receive up to 50 railway cars, which is up to 3.5 thousand tons of grain.
The terminal operates around the clock and is equipped with an active ventilation system, high-precision electronic scales, and an automated technological cycle management system, ensuring high-quality services. JSC "Ak Bidaу-Terminal" has also created an efficient system of grain terminals in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Iran: Baku Grain Terminal in the port of Govsan, Azerbaijan: The production capacity is about 600 thousand tons of grain per year. The milling complex produces up to 50 thousand tons of products per year.
Amirabad Grain Terminal Kish in the port of Amirabad, Iran: This high-tech universal grain terminal is the largest on the Caspian Sea and can transship about 700 thousand tons of grain per year.
These terminals ensure reliable export and transit of grain through the Caspian Sea to Iran, Azerbaijan, and further to countries adjacent to the Black and Mediterranean Seas, the Persian Gulf, the Arabian and Red Seas. The terminal system continues to develop and improve its efficiency.
